really. It's too much to write a blog monthly.
I'd rather play with the dogs and enjoy wine with Deep Sky Guy.
But be our guest to cruise the old blogs. Plenty to read and see there.
As Abi and I were playing tonite, we took our regular run down the lane just moments ago- toward the house, and the male cardinals in full mating regal red were singing above my shoulders in the old knotted shingle oak tree... the brilliant orange orioles were obstinately stealing sips from the hummie feeders... Yummy yellow dandelions danced like divas in the ditches along the lane... while just a few more steps revealed hostas happily hugged in their half oak barrels as they undulatingly unfurled their fresh new green gowns, and the burble-ing bluebirds were bouncing after bugs in the lawn, and the wild violets were nodding their neat little noggins in the breeze.... our phoebe has recovered from disaster and completed his/her new nest on the electric box on the cabin, and the woodpeckers, red breasted grosbeaks and goldfinches were flocked at the feeders, and the hummers were zippety-do-dahing thru the air.... I finally felt it.... that breath of life from all things red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet-- the rainbow of life just lifted a veil of armour from my shoulders. All worries just fell away from me, falling, then floating- up and up and gone, like a balloon on a breeze- It's finally MAY. Really wonderfully, beautifully--- MAY.
Well, I DID ask Santa for a puppy...
but we did not buy a puppy, and we did not look for a puppy and we did not know anything about it... but...
Miss Abigirl Hunny-Bunny Littlefoot has come to Deep Sky Ranch.
We did not choose her, she chose us and came to us in a very special way-- we did not know she was coming to us.
Let us just say that we are very very happy that she is a part of our lives.
She is a "BOM" - a beagle/pomeranian hybrid. She weighs almost 8 and a half pounds. She is 4 months old, and shares her birthday with DeepSkyGuy-
She is incredibly intelligent. And cute-oh, she is adorable with those black-eyeliner eyes that gaze deeply into your soul. She doesn't understand why we are so dense... she knows the program and has a reason for EVERYTHING she does. She is amazing.
When I met her, she was 3 months old, and I had her completely potty trained in 3 days. At four months, she now knows Sit, Lay Down, Shake, Come, Fetch and "Gimme 5" and she rings the string of bells on the door when she needs to go outside. She fits perfectly on the center arm of the theatre seats and enjoys watching movies with us.
She makes us laugh and she makes sure that I get lots of exercise. and did I say how cute she is?
oh, yeah. - well- she IS!
